Who we are

Shenea Booth for Nevada Assembly is the principal campaign committee for Shenea Booth, a candidate for Assembly District 22 in the State of Nevada. The Committee holds federal Employer Identification Number 39-4962967.

Silver Basin Strategies, LLC (Henderson, Nevada) provides communications, data, and technology services to the Committee under a written service agreement and processes personal information on the Committee's behalf. Silver Basin does not use Committee data for any purpose other than delivering services to the Committee.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Information you give us directly

• Contact details (name, email address, phone number, mailing address, ZIP code)
• Political preferences (issues you care about, whether you'll support the candidate, willingness to volunteer)
• Employer and occupation (required for reporting contributions above the state's disclosure threshold)
• Payment information for contributions (processed by our payment vendor — we don't store card numbers)
• Photos, quotes, or testimonials you submit for use in campaign materials

Information from public records

• Voter registration records lawfully obtained from the Nevada Secretary of State (name, address, date of registration, party affiliation, precinct, voting history — voting record only, not ballot content)

Information from third-party service providers

• Contribution records from the Federal Election Commission and Nevada Secretary of State (public campaign finance filings)
• Match data provided by commercial data vendors when we append demographic or contact information to voter records

Information collected automatically

• Standard web analytics for visits to www.sheneafornevada.com and silverbasin.vegas: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referrer, and timestamps
• Email opens and click-throughs when you engage with a message from us
• SMS delivery status (delivered, failed, opt-out) reported by our messaging vendor

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Communicate with you about the campaign — events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising asks, GOTV reminders, and election-related updates
• Process contributions and issue receipts
• File public campaign finance reports as required by federal and Nevada law
• Identify and target voter outreach efforts (which voters to canvass, call, or text)
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers
• Analyze the effectiveness of our outreach and improve future communications
• Comply with legal obligations, court orders, and lawful government requests

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent your personal information. We do not disclose the content of your text-message conversations with us to third parties for marketing purposes.

Text-message (SMS) program

If you consent to receive SMS from the Committee, the following applies:

Opt-in

You opt in by (a) providing your mobile number to us in writing (paper form, website, event signup), (b) responding YES/START to a message we send you, or (c) initiating a text conversation with one of our numbers.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with the campaign calendar; expect more messages closer to Election Day. You may receive up to several messages per week.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for messages you send or receive. We do not charge for messages themselves.

Opt-out

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. We honor STOP requests immediately.

Supported carriers

All major US carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and their MVNOs). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Sharing of information

We share personal information only with:

• Our service providers who process information on our behalf under written contract: Silver Basin Strategies (data + software), Twilio Inc. (SMS + voice delivery), ActBlue (payment processing), and our email delivery vendor. These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than serving the Committee.
• Allied political organizations with which we may share supporter lists (name, contact details, giving history) for joint fundraising, coordinated field programs, or endorsement communications — but never phone numbers that were collected for the SMS program (see Section 4).
• Government authorities, when required by law (campaign finance reporting, subpoena, court order, tax reporting, or regulatory investigation).
• Successor entities, if the Committee is dissolved and its records are transferred to a successor political entity — subject to the same commitments described here.

Cookies and website analytics

www.sheneafornevada.com and silverbasin.vegas use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure site traffic, and improve site performance. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; some features of the site may not work if you do.

We use standard analytics tools (which may include Google Analytics or a self-hosted equivalent) that collect aggregated usage data. These tools do not track you across other websites unless you're logged into a service (like Google) that does so on its own.

Your choices and rights

You may:

• Update your contact information by emailing info@silverbasin.vegas.
• Unsubscribe from email by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any campaign email.
• Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any text message from us.
• Request that we stop calling you by asking during a call or by emailing info@silverbasin.vegas.
• Request a copy of the personal information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to info@silverbasin.vegas. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to retain some information to comply with campaign finance recordkeeping laws.

Nevada residents may also have specific privacy rights under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A. Contact us at info@silverbasin.vegas to exercise those rights.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as it is needed to run the campaign, plus any period required by state or federal law (typically at least 4 years for federal campaign finance records under 52 U.S.C. § 30104 and the Nevada equivalent). SMS opt-out records are retained indefinitely to prevent accidental re-messaging of unsubscribed contacts.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No online system is 100% secure — but access to Committee data is restricted to trained personnel with a specific need, and payment card data is handled by PCI-compliant processors, never stored by us.

Children's privacy

The Committee's programs are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites, including ActBlue, news articles, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by updating the "Effective date" at the top and by posting a notice on www.sheneafornevada.com.
